Welcome to Brisbane Frontrunners and Walkers

A LGBTIQ+ Running and Walking Group.

Brisbane Frontrunners is a friendly and diverse LGBTIQ+ running and walking group that meets each week along the scenic river paths of Brisbane. Our goal is simple: to promote a healthy, active, and social lifestyle for the LGBTIQ+ community across South East Queensland.

Since 1999, Brisbane Frontrunners has been bringing people together through movement, laughter, and good company. We meet at Captain Burke Park in Kangaroo Point and head out on relaxed runs and walks along the beautiful Brisbane River.

Whether you’re chasing kilometres or just keen for a casual stroll and a chat, everyone is welcome. Our group includes people of all fitness levels, and you can go as far or as easy as you like.

No pressure, no membership fees.
Just turn up, move your body, and enjoy the company.

We meet twice a week for group runs and walks, and many members stay afterwards for dinner and socialising nearby. Throughout the year we also organise social events, group challenges, and running outings to help keep things fun and connected.

On any given night you might find anywhere from a handful of people to around 60 runners and walkers joining in - all part of the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere that has kept Brisbane Frontrunners going strong for more than two decades.

Come along, meet great people, and enjoy Brisbane’s river paths together. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🌈
